The direction for CAP Intelligence is assurance and analytics that run on real project data and sharpen with every project, instead of arriving once and going stale. All three measure against the same documented standard, the Capital Project Management System (CAP·CORE), and share the same live project record teams already work in today, the capital project management platform (CAP·PATH). The build stands on a foundation that is already running.

Assurance today arrives at fixed points: a review ahead of a gate, a look after startup. The AI-led interviews that now run as standard on every CAP·AR are the first step past that, because reaching every discipline no longer costs a site visit. The work still ahead is making the read continuous rather than convened, so the picture stays current between the gates instead of going stale the day the report lands.

The dataset nobody else holds

Capital project benchmarks and turnaround benchmarks have always lived in different buildings. That is a problem for anyone running a plant, because at a running plant the two are the same calendar: the tie-ins get made in the window, the window’s scope freeze sets the project’s definition deadline, and a moved outage moves every project pinned to it.

CAP Intelligence shares its spine with a turnaround assurance practice, so a project and the window it depends on are one record with one sign-in. As the data spine fills, that becomes a dataset with a question in it nobody has been able to ask: what does window coupling actually cost a project, and what does a project actually cost a window?

Every service here points at that record. It is the conceptual seed for the whole build.

Why it takes real data

A benchmark is only as honest as the data behind it.

Most industry numbers for capital projects are built on megaprojects, priced for majors, or locked inside a proprietary evaluation nobody outside can see into. The sustaining and small-capital portfolios where most of the money at a running plant actually goes have no yardstick at all. We are building an independent, transparent benchmark from real projects at real sites, contributed by operators who want a better one. The more ground truth that goes in, the sharper the read that comes out for everyone who takes part.
